Terrible storms are passing to the south of us, but do not worry this photo is not the remnants of a hail storm, rather it is the remnants of my son's acceptance of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Yes, he poured ice water over his head to challenge five of his friends, to donate money to ALS or to challenge others.
Many people think that this is a hoax just to get lots of videos on the internet, of people foolishly complying with this request, in order to achieve five minutes of fame. Whether or not this is the purpose of some participants, the fact remains that donations to ALS research have sky-rocketed this year. So dump away my friends and lets' help unravel the suffering of people all over the world. We have two friends who have ALS, one has completed his battle and the other is still striving to survive.
My son did not challenge me, but since I know that I would not pour freezing water over my (hot head) head, I think I shall donate without a challenge.
